How is the yardage calculated?
Volume (ft³) = Cross-section area (ft²) × Length (ft) Cubic yards = Volume (ft³) ÷ 27
The cross-section area is the shape of the curb and gutter when you slice through it — add the curb rectangle and the gutter pan together.
Example calculation
For a profile of 1.5 ft² over a 100 ft run:
- Volume = 1.5 × 100 = 150 ft³
- Cubic yards = 150 ÷ 27 = 5.56 yd³
- Add 10% → order about 6.1 yd³
